The Band

There's a moment in every Low Darts performance where the age of the musicians is truly just a number. One second you're watching a handful of recent college grads who met as kids; the next, you're transported back to the late ‘70s, and the music has you.

Low Darts are a rock & soul band (seven members in this configuration) who pay homage to the best studio musicians of one of the greatest generations of music. The majority of the members first met in middle school jazz band and later emerged from a pandemic basement project in 2020 with a mission: to reconstruct the greatest rock and soul records of the '70s and '80s exactly as they were made—not just the songs, but the grooves, the harmonies, & the exact instrumental parts on the recordings, including some the original artists never attempted live.

Their repertoire spans over 175 songs from the architects of studio rock and soul: Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Toto, Supertramp, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Kansas, Bill Withers, Chicago, and more. Musical director Colman Connolly (keys, guitar, vocals) produces and mixes all recordings out of his own studio alongside bandmates Sebastian Rodriguez (keys, vocals), Jonas Brown (guitar), Luke Foote (bass, vocals), and Sean Byington (drums, vocals). Skilled horn players, Bobby Master (tenor saxophone) and Kevin Tzanetis (trumpet, flugelhorn) round out the sound.

The result has earned them worldwide recognition—with over 23 million YouTube views and 115,000 subscribers, Low Darts have built a following of fans who describe hearing their youth played back to them by a generation that wasn't even born yet. Come vibe with us live! Hear for yourselves, and decide if we are worth the hype! 🎯

Bobby's Story

Bobby Master is a tenor saxophonist and live sound engineer from Fairfield, Connecticut. He began playing saxophone at age 13 and has developed a versatile sound rooted in funk, R&B, pop, and classic rock. His playing is influenced by artists including Tom Scott, Grover Washington Jr., Michael Brecker, Ernie Watts, and Wilton Felder. He studied saxophone with Fred Scerbo, former saxophonist for Joe Cocker, and has performed with numerous bands and local acts throughout Connecticut, including the What Up Funk Band.

Bobby holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of Connecticut and previously studied audio production at Drexel University.
